Production Area
The production area is the Murgia Hills in the Apulia region of southern Italy. A chalky-clay terrain of 350- 500 metres a.s.l., which produces fine, versatile wines.
Grape Variety
Produced from the PRIMITIVO native grape variety, selected from the remaining traditional “alberello” vines of the wine cooperative.
Vinification
The grapes are carefully selected on the vine and hand-picked. Maceration on the skins for 3 weeks at controlled temperatures. Aged for 12 months in steel vats the wine is then aged for a further 12 months in wooden casks before bottling.
